I worked as a research associate on the SONICOM project where he was investigating the influence of considering individual morphology to improve speech intelligibility in acoustic virtual reality. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Lyon (France) and Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) for his work on modelling the effect of hearing impairment for binaural speech intelligibility in noise.

Thibault is now a Maitre de Conference at the Le Mans University in France.
